Restorative Yoga – March 15th

Restorative Yoga brings harmony to the body’s rhythms. It brings you to a state of “being”, not “doing”, while there is no movement, no effort, and the brain becomes quiet. Props are used to place the body in comfortable, relaxing poses. This enables the mind to clear, the breath to deepen, and the body to easily relax into balance. Restorative Yoga is the practice of deliberate stillness. This is when the healing begins. It is known that restorative yoga can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which enables automatic control of the body. As such, the regular nervous system will be at rest, and the muscles will become more relaxed. Constant practice of restorative yoga will make your body less vulnerable to stress-related illnesses and help you achieve optimal health.

Thursday, March 15th, 7:00pm – 8:30-pm

$20.00 investment.

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: Integrating Your Yoga Practice into Daily Life

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: Integrating Your Yoga Practice into Daily Life
with Jaya Elleson, 200RYT
Six Sunday Evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Jan 14th thru Feb 18th

Hatha Yoga Students:  Have you had the experience of feeling an immense peace and calm while practicing yoga in a Hatha class?  Would you like to achieve that feeling throughout your day and week, and not limit it to the yoga mat?

Hatha Yoga Teachers:  Have you had some exposure to the Yoga Sutras, but want to delve more fully into them?  Do you want to deepen and broaden your personal yoga practice, outside of your weekly classes?

Join us to study The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali   – a handbook for applying the principles of Yoga to everyday life.  Although it is an ancient text, it is completely relevant to our current lives, outlining the complete philosophy and psychology of Yoga.   The purpose of yoga (achieving true Peace, Joy and Happiness!), how to practice, obstacles one will likely encounter, and how to overcome those obstacles are presented in a systematic way.  Discover the power of an integrated, whole-life yoga practice!

What students have said about this class:
