Restorative Yoga – May 17th

Restorative Yoga brings harmony to the body’s rhythms. It brings you to a state of “being”, not “doing”, while there is no movement, no effort, and the brain becomes quiet. Props are used to place the body in comfortable, relaxing poses. This enables the mind to clear, the breath to deepen, and the body to easily relax into balance. Restorative Yoga is the practice of deliberate stillness. This is when the healing begins. It is known that restorative yoga can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which enables automatic control of the body. As such, the regular nervous system will be at rest, and the muscles will become more relaxed. Constant practice of restorative yoga will make your body less vulnerable to stress-related illnesses and help you achieve optimal health.

Join us for a special combined event by Diamond of D Bowl Guy and Mark Placzkowski of Gong Spirit. This unforgettable event will soothe, inspire, and awaken your spirit as Sacred Sound Practitioners Mark Placzkowski and Diamond bathe you in sounds from a collection of Planetary Gongs and Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls. Feel the waves of total tranquility wash over you, melting your barriers to peace. Allow your light of purity to shine forth. Sounds of varying frequencies are created that wash over, around, and through you – much as you would imagine the waves of the ocean.

These instruments create waves of sound that can carry you into a deeply meditative state. The brain reaches theta and delta frequencies where we access our deeper subconscious and super conscious. These are key states for healing, regeneration, and rejuvenation. All one needs to do is let the mind relax and allow the sounds of the gongs and singing bowls harmonize the body. Don’t miss this unique and special event!Bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow.Register online, or by check at the studio.
